Academy Award Winning Movie Trailer

What I'm reading right now: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

If you haven't caught on to this series, you're missing out. Don't be thrown off by the YA (Young Adult) label. Suzanne Collins creates complex characters that win you over and a unique plot that never lets up. When you stop to consider all of the characters she has created, the depth each one brings, and this interwoven plot, you start to understand what a talented skillful writer she is. (I'm sure she has loads of talent too, but I don't want to discount all of her hard work.)

Book one is The Hunger Games. Book Two is Catching Fire and Book three, due out in August, is Mockingjay.

According to Mockingjay.net, a movie of The Hunger Games is underway.

I'm sure we'll return to The Hunger Games in a later post. For now, I want to share something a friend of mine shared with me, it's an Academy Award Winning Movie Trailer. Watch it. Then watch it again.

Now that you've seen it a couple of times. Think about how this applies to your writing. I'll give you my thoughts in a follow up post.

Saw this somewhere. (For some reason it didn't work on your page but I did go watch it again on youtube)

Still funny, still good to think about.

Watched it on my silly Mac. Weird, but interesting, will have to go back for a second time.

Sabine, I've found it does take a couple of viewings. You need one just to figure out what they're doing. In subsequent viewings everything starts to jump out at you.
